Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has hailed fit-again Ben Foster as the best young goalkeeper in the country.

"Everyone recognises that Ben is the top goalkeeper England have available," said Fergie. "I think he's above them all.

"It would have been yet another selection dilemma for me if Ben had been fit and available this season.

"Next season I will have that dilemma every week about who my No.1 choice will be. But challenge and competition for places is a good thing, and I look forward to that."
