Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes Rio Ferdinand's England career is over.

Ferguson wasn't surprised Ferdinand was omitted from the Euros squad.

Asked if Rio would play for England again, Ferguson told the Daily Mail "I don't think so. I can't see it. I don't think it's on his agenda either. He's 34 now and he wants to ensure he's fit for us."
