Man Utd boss Ferguson fears for Scotland national team
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits concerns over Scotland's future.
Ferguson doesn't believe Scotland were that far away from making the World Cup. But he reckons we're still a bit short for Euro 2012, with new national boss Craig Levein in Poland this weekend for the qualifying draw.
Ferguson, buoyant after a week which saw United thump Manchester City and Arsenal, said: "I don't know all of the potential talent in Scotland at the moment.
"In the present Scottish squad I think you've got three or four very good players. But to qualify for a championship you need more than that. They were very unfortunate last time because they got very close.
"I know people don't remember the display Scotland put on against Holland.
"But they were BRILLIANT against Holland and very unlucky. There isn't a great deal wrong.
"What we need as a country, and I hope it happens, is the confidence you get from winning."
