Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is fast-tracking left-back Tyler Blackett.

Blackett is poised to make his debut in South Africa against AmaZulu FC on the club's pre-season tour.

United will fly out to South Africa on Monday for the first leg of their 22,000 mile tour that will take in games across five countries.

Blackett recently signed his first professional contract with the club having joined as a nine-year-old and progressed through the ranks.

The England Under-18 international is highly-rated within Old Trafford for his athletic ability and attitude, which insiders believe should see him flourish.
