Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz remains on the shopping list of Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Daily Star Sunday says Ferguson is still favourite to clinch a £25million deal for Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov.
But Fergie now has other irons in the fire as an insurance policy in case the signing of Berbatov fails to materialise - or is delayed much longer.
