Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson remains determined to land a new No1 goalkeeper.

The Times says United are closely monitoring Hugo Lloris, the Lyons and France goalkeeper, and Manuel Neuer, of Schalke 04, and have also checked on Igor Akinfeev, the CSKA Moscow and Russia goalkeeper.

One of Tomasz Kuszczak or Ben Foster expected to be sacrificed if Ferguson manages to lure one of his intended targets.
