Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is excited about the return to fitness of Darren Fletcher.

Ferguson will be delighted to be able to call upon Fletcher again, who he has often relied upon in the biggest games.

He said in an interview with Inside United this month: "Darren is one of the best footballers we've ever had in big-game situations.

"Those situations seemed to inspire him. I always remember his games against Patrick Vieira. He never gave him a kick. Right away, bang, he was in there. So much so, in fact, that Arsene Wenger used to single him out and label him a dirty player.

"That tells you exactly how much of a threat he was considered by other teams."
