Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson ducked questions over Rio Ferdinand's England captaincy last night.
The Daily Mail says Ferdinand is not happy with the way Capello has handled the situation and, aware that the Italian would be in the Old Trafford directors' box for their victory over Marseille , chose to sit in another part of the stadium.
It makes the situation extremely awkward for Capello, who might well see John Terry when he attends Chelsea's Champions League clash at home to Copenhagen this evening.
Ferguson refused to be drawn into the row, saying: "I'm not getting involved with that, it's nothing to do with me."
