Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was pleased with Anders Lindegaard's debut in their FA Cup victory over Southampton.

Lindegaard more than impressed his new manager in the 2-1 win.

"Anders did really well. I thought he showed very good composure and his use of the ball was terrific," said Ferguson.

"It was a good start for the boy and I'm really pleased with him."
