Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson expects to keep hold of striker Dimitar Berbatov.

Ferguson confirmed Berbatov was given permission for a private trip to Germany last week, but denies it had anything to do with transfer talks.

"I read those stories and I don't know where they come from," Ferguson maintained.
