Man Utd boss Ferguson convinced he has best attacking group in country

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced his attacking options are the best in the land.

In addition to Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Michael Owen and Dimitar Berbatov, three young strikers have returned to United after being out on loan last season - Danny Welbeck, Federico Macheda and Mame Biram Diouf.

And Fergie reckons his strike force is the envy of the Premier League.

The United boss goes into today's Community Shield showdown with neighbours Manchester City at Wembley, claiming: "I am not unhappy with that situation - I am not going to complain about it. Some clubs would love to have seven strikers.

"There is a difficulty, of course, in terms of managing the situation in the sense of the number of games they can get.

But I've got those players - so get on with it.

"We'll compensate by making sure they train well and I expect them all to be here at the end of the transfer window.

"You might get an injury down the road - you never know. At the moment, I've no intention of changing."
