Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced he will win the race for Southampton winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The People says United are confident they can seal a deal for Oxlade-Chamberlain after Ferguson met the midfield starlet's representatives on the eve of last night's FA Cup tie.
Chamberlain, who looked set to join Arsenal in a £10million deal earlier this week, has also been the subject of interest from European champions Inter Milan.
Ferguson is a huge admirer of the 17-year-old and is desperately trying to hijack any Arsenal move.
But the hunt for Chamberlain, son of former England winger Mark, has gone international in the past few days with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid registering their interest, as well as Inter's Leonardo.
