Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is settling on CSKA Moscow goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev as the man to succeed Edwin van der Sar.
The Daily Mail says Ferguson is set to move for Akinfeev if Van der Sar retires. The 23-year-old, who became Russia's youngest international at 18 years and 20 days, will play for CSKA when they entertain United in the Champions League on Wednesday week.
Akinfeev is already preparing himself for a move to the Premiership, having begun taking English lessons since the end of last season.
