Man Utd boss Ferguson calls in rookie James Chester

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has named James Chester in his squad for today's game against Bolton.

Chester, 19, is a regular for the reserves and Ferguson would have no qualms about throwing him into the fray.

"As you know, we limped over the line on Wednesday night and have quite a few injuries," said Ferguson. "I couldn't tell you my side now.

"There's a fitness test for two or possibly three tomorrow with Tevez and Evans major doubts. They will have a fitness test at 10am and we'll see about one or two others.

"I've brought James Chester into the squad from the reserves. Although he's not played in the first team, he's a capable young player and if it has to be then it has to be.

"That's why we have such a big squad. We have Wes Brown, Evra and Rio Ferdinand all out.

"So it's a major blow if Evans is not available, particularly given his form. But the other night I saw the best centre half performance I've seen in years in Nemanja Vidic. I thought he was absolutely magnificent.

"So that always gives us hope as we've still got to deal with important issues playing against Bolton with their aerial attacks. They're very good at that but hopefully we can navigate that problem."
