Man Utd boss Ferguson brands Ronaldo Madrid questions "PATHETIC"

Real Madrid's new push for Cristiano Ronaldo is infuriating Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

At yesterday's pre-match media conference for tonight's Champions League clash with Porto, the issue of the winger's future came up.

"He will tell you himself that he is at the right club," said Ferguson of the young man sitting to his right.

But, typically, Ferguson did not appreciate the invitation that was then extended to Ronaldo to speak for himself.

"Pathetic," snarled United's manager before allowing Ronaldo the opportunity to respond.

"I'm happy at this club," he said. "I think this is the right club for me."
