Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed a hamstring injury for Danny Welbeck.
The lively striker followed up the opening goal against Spurs by repeating the feat in the 8-2 hammering of Arsenal, only to pull up while chasing a through ball in the first half and being replaced by Javier Hernandez.
"He was feeling a tight hamstring, he came over to the side and we had Hernandez warming up and we just couldn't get him on, unfortunately for us, and he's ended up actually pulling it," explained the boss to MUTV.
"He'll miss the England game, which is a pity because, in the form that Danny's showing just now, he'd be an asset to them."
