Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has some injury concerns for Wayne Rooney as he joins the England squad for their friendly against France.

Fabio Capello was relieved to see Rooney report for England duty last night after the striker suffered a knee injury during Manchester United's win over Liverpool. Rooney inspired United with a superb 90-minute display but later Ferguson cast doubts on his fitness.

"We will have a look at Wayne," said the United boss. "We won't make any decisions right now."
