Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits he gaffed with his tactics early into last night's 2-0 victory over Roma.
United had begun the tie with Wayne Rooney playing in an unorthodox role on the left wing before moving back into a central position in the second half.
"I should have put Wayne through the middle with Cristiano (Ronaldo) earlier in the game," said Ferguson. "When we put them together we were more dangerous."
Both Rooney and Ronaldo struck the goals for United.
