Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has described the comments made last week by Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez as ridiculous. Benitez said that Ferguson was the only manager above the law in the Premier League among other things but the Red Devils boss has played down the comments, saying the Spaniard was simply angry.
"I think you've got to cut through the venom of it, hopefully he'll reflect and understand what he was saying was ridiculous," Ferguson told Sky Sports after the 3-0 win over Chelsea.
"I think he was an angry man, I think he was disturbed for one reason or another - that's all I've got to say about it.
"They're not facts but we don't want to get into it."
