Manchester United are expected to go with Pep Guardiola over Jose Mourinho should Sir Alex Ferguson choose to step down at the end of this season. The Sunday Mirror says if Ferguson does decide to call it a day, then United is the job that Guardiola and Real Madrid coach Mourinho will covet.
But Mourinho's confrontational style may count against him in the boardroom.
PSG will offer Mourinho a record £15million-a-year deal to try and tempt the 49-year-old into snubbing interest from England.
Mourinho is close pals with PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi and the French club are confident of signing Chelsea's Ashley Cole.
