Man Utd, Bayern Munich battle for Swedish superkid Alex Timossi Andersson

Manchester United and Bayern Munich are fighting over Swedish superkid Alex Timossi Andersson.

United and Bayern have been following the 16 year-old Helsingborg IF striker over the last 12 months, says Helsingborg Dagblad.

Swedish football is expecting big things from Timossi Andersson, with HIF admitting big European interest is arriving.

"It's no secret that he's an interesting player for the outside world, but if we talk about Alex's future, I have no comments," said Krister Azelius, the HIF chairman.

Local sources say Bayern have jumped ahead of United in the race for the youngster's signature, having opened talks with HIF over a deal which would see Timossi Andersson return on-loan for the season to continue his development.
