Boto has been linked with Manchester United, where manager Jose Mourinho is a big fan. However, they'll face competition from Shakhtar Donetsk.

O Jogo says Boto has been in talks with United for several months, but Shakhtar have tabled a firm contract offer to the Portuguese.

United want Boto to join their scouting team, while Shakhtar's offer is for him to become their new technical director.
