Manchester United and Manchester City are chasing Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos. The People says the Spanish star is at the top of Sir Alex Ferguson's wish-list but the money men at City have been told to do everything they can to sign the £30million-rated defender ahead of their rivals.
Ramos has been impressive at Madrid and also shone when England clashed with Spain the other week. However Madrid are unlikely to want to sell the Seville born 22-year-old and could insist his transfer fee clause of £150m be paid in full as he has a deal until 2013.
That would certainly rule out Ferguson unless he was to use Cristiano Ronaldo as part of the deal, but City's Sheikh owners have the financial clout to still go ahead with the transfer.
