And Don Balon says this is a very real possibility, with Griezmann prepared to leave should Atletico fail to qualify for the Champions League knockout phase.

With Vitolo and Diego Costa to be registered for Atletico in January, the Frenchman believes it could be the right time to quit.

And when the market reopens, Griezmann's buyout clause will fall from €200m to €100m to bring him in the range of the midseason budgets of United and Barca.
