Man Utd, Barcelona growing confident Griezmann will force Atletico Madrid January exit

Antoine Griezmann is edging closer to pushing for an Atletico Madrid departure in January.

The France international is a major target for Manchester United and also interesting Barcelona and PSG.

All three clubs are maintaining contact with his representatives, knowing he is open to leaving in January.

Griezmann is prepared to leave should Atletico fail to qualify for the Champions League knockout phase.

With Vitolo and Diego Costa to be registered for Atletico in January, the Frenchman believes it could be the right time to quit.

With Atletico struggling in the LaLiga and unlikely to get out of their Champions League group, Griezmann could choose to quit early.

Encouraging for suitors, when the market reopens, Griezmann's buyout clause will fall from €200m to €100m.

It's suggested Diego Godin and Yannick Carrasco could also be allowed to leave by Atleti management over the New Year.
