Manchester United and Barcelona are battling for Real Valladolid goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo.
The 19-year-old Spaniard has been told he will be able to move on - with an exit as early as January possible if a club matches Valladolid's asking price, believed to be in the region of £5 million.
Sources in Spain suggested recently that United had already made an approach and had stole a march on their rivals, says the News of the World.
But Asenjo's head has been turned by Barca who want the teenager to compete with blunder-prone Victor Valdes at the Nou Camp.
