Revelations that Manchester United made a massive contract offer to Gareth Bale is heaping fresh pressure on Real Madrid.
Bale chose to reject United's €25m-a-year offer last month after crunch talks with new Real coach Julen Lopetegui.
And the way he's kicked off the new season, the decision is proving correct. However, with that form, Bale and his agent Jonathan Barnett are ready to demand new contract talks with Real.
Don Balon says United have informed Bale's camp they will try again for him next summer.
And armed with their previous contract offer, Barnett will go to Real president Florentino Perez seeking a massive pay-hike. Bale knows he's at the stage of his career when he is playing for his final big pay-day.
And with United circling, he knows he's now in the best position to demand a huge pay-rise from Perez.
