Manchester United away fans made it clear to Gaby Heinze what they felt about him during last night's 0-0 draw at Marseille.
Heinze might have optimistically expressed his hope for a warm reception from the Manchester United supporters who hailed him as a hero before his treacherous attempt to leave for Liverpool in 2007.
Instead, Heinze, regularly serenaded with chants of 'Argentina, Argentina' at Old Trafford, was taunted with a spiteful rendition of 'You Scouse B------!' each time he approached the section housing the 3,500 United fans, says the Telegraph.
No player had left Old Trafford for Anfield, or vice versa, since Phil Chisnall in 1964, so by pinning his colours to Liverpool's mast, Heinze's actions were viewed as an act of betrayal.
