Manchester United are scrambling to stay in the battle for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
BVB chief Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted last week they could cash in on the midfielder next month.
United and Arsenal have been linked with Gundogan, but the player's father, says El Confidencial, recently met with Barcelona officials to discuss an end of season move.
Real Madrid are also interested in Gundogan, with claims of a pre-contact already agreed.
