Ilkay Gundogan has denied suggestions that he is pushing for a summer exit at Borussia Dortmund.
The German midfielder, 24, is a target for the Premier League trio Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea while Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also believed to be keen.
However, Gundogan says it is not the be-all and end-all to leave Westfalenstadion this summer as he is contracted with Dortmund until the end of the 2015/16 season.
"If I don't renew my contract that doesn't mean I won't stay until 2016," he told SID.
"I'm not hell-bent on leaving by force and would be prepared to stay for another year if that suited both sides.
"If not then it is important that my current club gets an appropriate compensation - that's one of the reasons I extended my contract by one year last season."
