Manchester United and Arsenal are eyeing Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred.

The Ukrainian club are now prepared to consider offers for the attacking midfielder – prompting a flood of interest from all over the world.

United and Arsenal are at the front of the race for Fred, though they will face competition from Napoli, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Valencia.

Sources in Brazil, though, claim up to between eight and 10 big clubs are eyeing the new situation with the Brazil playmaker and it is believed Paris Saint-Germain have also been contacted.

Manchester City and Pep Guardiola have also been linked with a move for him.

But the Daily Star says the strongest Premier League interest is coming from Old Trafford and The Emirates.
