Man Utd anti-Glazer fans split over targeting Gill Jr
Manchester United's anti-Glazer protesters are split on the targeting of Ollie Gill, the son of chief executive David Gill.
Gill Jr has been booed by a minority of fans angry at Dad David over his support of the Glazers.
The Guardian says the targeting of Gill's son, albeit by a minority, is the first time that an element have gone against Sir Alex Ferguson's request to ensure that the protests do not affect the team. On the fans' websites many have objected to one of the club's up-and-coming players being made a scapegoat. Equally, others have talked openly about targeting the player as a way of getting at his father.
Gill signed his first professional contract last July and the Surrey-born defender has impressed Ferguson with his performances for the reserve team.
The manager and the rest of the coaching staff are aware of the booing and Ferguson is understood to be disappointed. Other officials have insisted it is not a serious cause for concern but acknowledged that it goes against the manager's request for everyone to get behind the team.

You have to say that these supposed Utd supporters would have more credibility and target the Glazers and David Gill if necessary, but a young footballer by association is pathetic. There is no guenuine reason or excuse, eventually it will cause these idiots more grief than the Club
Just to remind these planks of a parallel football story from I think ITV a few years ago about the fascist element of a football supporters club who decided and managed to waylay a Black person and beat him up only to find they have done over their Clubs Star forward and with the all important Cup game the next day!
So these muppeta should realise wrong actions can cause wrong reactions etc etc etc!
