Catania forward Takayuki Morimoto looks set to remain with the Italian club. Despite reported interest from English clubs Manchester United and Everton, the 20-year old Japan star will remain with the Rossazzurra next season.
Catania sports director Petro Lo Monaco said Moriomot was progressing well with the Serie A club and expected him to further improve his game with the Sicilians.
"Taka is growing well, we have taken the boy and I am sure that in time he will become a great player," he said.
"He is working hard for Catania and we are happy to give him this chance in Italy.
"We expect even better and more (from him).
"(I hope) he stays with us again next year because I am sure he will make an important contribution to the growth of Catania.
"My hope is that in the end, I could propose it to a big club even if I regret it from an emotional point of view."
