Manchester United are threatening Valencia's deal for Benfica winger Enzo Perez.
Valencia had been regarded as favourites to sign the Argentina international next month, with new owner Peter Lim driving negotiations.
However, Super Deportes says Lim, who was in Lisbon last week for talks with Benfica, has found himself in competition with United.
And it's emerged Los Che chiefs are now questioning their move for Perez, with coach Nuno feeling they need to strengthen in other areas.
There is now discussion inside the Mestalla about leaving Perez to United ahead of the January market kicking off.
