Manchester Untied midfielder Ben Pearson is set to join Bournemouth in January.

Pearson is currently on-loan at Barnsley.

The Sun says he Premier League side will pay £1m in instalments for the midfielder who is deemed surplus to requirements by Louis van Gaal.

Pearson has been capped by England from the Under-16s to Under-20s but has never managed to break into the United first team.

Barnsley will not be happy about letting Pearson leave though, as they are embroiled in a relegation scrap at the foot of the League One.
