Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney hasn't been sitting on his hands as he waits for UEFA's ruling over Friday's red card in Montenegro. The Daily Mail says Rooney has written personally to UEFA in a bid to limit his European Championship ban for his red card in Montenegro to a single match.
The Manchester United striker's letter will form part of a special dossier that is being sent to UEFA's Swiss HQ ahead of Thursday's disciplinary hearing.
The dossier, put together by experts from the FA's governance department, also includes a letter from England manager Fabio Capello and a DVD highlighting specific aspects of the incident.
The FA will appeal if Rooney receives anything more than the mandatory one-match ban.
