Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is delighted his hard work on the training pitch is paying off with his improvement in the air.
The former Everton hero, 24, stands at just 5ft 9in and has never been renowned for his heading ability.
But he nodded in two against AC Milan in the San Siro last week and added two more with his nut as the champions eased past West Ham on Tuesday night.
Rooney said: "I've been working on my heading like I work on a lot of things. I've been working on it ever since I've been at United with one of the coaches - and particularly over the last couple of years.
"It's paying off now and I'm grateful for that because I've put a lot of time in and thankfully it has shown on the pitch. I've scored a few now."
