Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney insists he remains an Everton fan.

The England striker revealed he always checks Everton's results when he comes off the pitch.

"I love Everton, I grew up supporting Everton and want them to win," he told evertonTV.

"In footballing terms I felt I had to move on but I still want Everton to win and that is never going to change.

"All my family are Everton fans, my son has his Everton kit now! Everton is still a big part of my life."
