Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney admits their derby defeat at Manchester City "wasn't good enough".

Rooney says a Capital One Cup tie with Liverpool is the ideal game for them to bounce back.

He posted on Facebook: "Disappointing game yesterday, our performance just wasn't good enough. It's up to us as players to put it right now and there can be no better game to motivate us than facing Liverpool in the cup on Wednesday."
