Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney was delighted with his goal scoring return against Fulham last night.
Rooney marked his return from his hamstring problem by scoring a goal with his first touch after coming off the bench in the 3-0 win over Fulham.
The England man felt no ill-effects from his successful comeback and feels Sir Alex Ferguson was right to treat his return carefully.
"I feel good, maybe I could have played last week but I think the wise decision was not to play me and give me another few days training and then it would be a lot better and stronger," Rooney told Sky Sports News.
Rooney was happy with his poacher's goal against Fulham and he admits he has been forced to change his style of play to suit strike partners Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez.
"I have scored a lot of them [close-range finishes] this season," added Rooney. "In the last three games I have scored three goals all inside the six-yard box.
"It is something I have been working on, obviously Dimitar and Carlos like to play a bit deeper so I have had to change a little bit and thankfully I am getting the benefits of it now."
