Manchester United's World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo refused to bite when asked to comment on the rant made by Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez against Sir Alex Ferguson last week.

Last night in Zurich, Ronaldo said: "It's like what my friend says: you don't want to get mixed up with the important people."
