Man Utd ace Pogba due new bumper pay-rise

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is set to be handed a bumper new pay-rise.

The Sun says the 24-year-old – who joined United in an £89m world record deal last summer – is already on a staggering £165,000-a-week.

But he is set to have an increase of around £10,000-a-week as part of an add-on in the five-year contract he signed when joining.

The French midfielder will have his wages topped up by the same amount every summer for the entirety of his deal.

The increase will land Pogba an extra £500,000-a-year, on top of his £2.87m imagine rights and other bonuses.

A United source said: “Paul will receive around £500,000-a-year extra as part of the increase.

“It came into play earlier this month. He earns his basic wage but that's topped up with a lot of add-ons.

“As part of his agreement he is at the forefront of the highest earners, it was to help lure him back to the club."
