Man Utd ace Mkhitaryan on brink of matching Premier League record

Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is on the brink of matching a new Premier League record.

The Mirror says the Armenian will match the achievements of Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas if he bags an assist against Stoke City this weekend.

Mkhitaryan has already set up five goals in just three matches as United have stormed to the top of the Premier League.

In Premier League history only Arsenal legend Henry and current Chelsea star Fabregas have recorded six assists in their first four appearances.

So far this season Mkhitaryan has bagged two assists against West Ham in Manchester United's 4-0 win over Slaven Bilic's men on the opening day.

He followed this up with two more in the 4-0 win over Swansea City before setting up Marcus Rashford as the Red Devils beat Leicester City 2-0.
