Juan Mata has said he is not worried about recent Manchester United signings of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.
It cost United £25million for the services of Schneiderlin from Southampton and around £15million for Schweinsteiger to come to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich which has immediately placed pressure on Spanish midfielder Mata.
A defiant Mata said that new players simply make stronger competition for spots in Louis van Gaal's line-up which he is prepared
Mata told BBC Sport: "When you play for a top team you always know you have to be at your best level. There is a lot of competition for spots in the first team but I believe in myself.
"I always train the best I can. Between us all we have to help the team but obviously if you play for a team like Manchester United you are always going to have competition."
