Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku's goalscoring statistics are outshining Tottenham's celebrated England captain Harry Kane.
The Manchester Evening News reports Kane and Lukaku are rivals individually and collectively at club and international level as they vie for goalscoring and team honours but Lukaku's record against the elite is often derided. The United striker managed one in 12 against the Premier League's top six clubs in all competitions last season (in the home win over former club Chelsea), whereas Kane netted four.
However, Lukaku has actually scored more top six goals than the feted Kane.
Lukaku has tallied 20 goals in five seasons against the 'big six' and Kane has hit 19. The Spurs number 10 also possesses a wretched record against United and has specifically struggled against Chris Smalling.
