Man Utd ace Giggs: Rooney already at same level as Cantona, Robson
Manchester United ace Ryan Giggs says Wayne Rooney's heroics this season remind him of Eric Cantona in his pomp.
Indeed, Giggs says Rooney, at 24, is already at the same level as Cantona and former United captain Bryan Robson.
He told the Metro: “There were a few seasons where Eric seemed to score all our key goals in 1-0 wins and they were always important goals.
"Wayne is now at that stage. He is our talisman and is doing exactly what Eric did in terms of scoring those important goals.<>
"There are players throughout United history – such as Eric and Bryan Robson – who have had a massive influence and, although he still has to do it over a long period of time, I don’t think mentioning Wayne in the same manner is out of place."

wazza- the same that said blue through and through lol.
I loved Cantona and Rooney gives
me that same buzz when he is on
the pitch. I got a great buzz with
Ronaldo too but I knew he wasn't
United through and through like
Wazza is. I think Rooney has turned
out great, on and off the pitch.
He really is setting an example now
and Im very pleased for him.
