Hull City have signed outright Manchester United defender James Chester.
Chester was coming off contract in June at United, but in a sure sign of Hull's ambition, they've paid £300,000 to sign the youngster permanently.
The defender had spent the first-half of the season on-loan at Carlisle United.
"We're hopeful we can complete the deal as soon as possible," Hull boss Nigel Pearson told BBC Radio Humberside.
