The United assistant boss is now hinting that he's agreed terms with Portugal - despite claiming just a couple of weeks ago that he was expecting to stay at Old Trafford. Queiroz would succeed Luiz Felipe Scolari who is the new manager at Chelsea.
It's understood that Querioz has agreed terms on a four-year deal with the Portuguese Football Federation - but United are yet to sanction the move as club and country try to agree a compensation package.
"From my part, there is not much to say, it needs to be resolved between the federation and United," he said.
"I can say little more than you know at this time. It's out of my hands."
United have so far refused to offer any comment on the move.
