Man City's Toure: I wasn't good enough for Arsenal

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has no regrets failing to land a deal at Arsenal as a young player.

Now on £200,000-a-week at City, after three years as a Barcelona player, his career has hardly suffered because of his missed chance at Arsenal.

He said: "To be honest I probably wasn't ready to come to England back then. I was young, I had very little experience of football and I don't blame Arsenal for the decision they made.

"I wasn't going to give up because of it, though. I went away and learned how to be a footballer.

"The game has been good to me so there are no regrets from me. I am happy where I am. Barcelona is a great club, a beautiful place to live, a fantastic city. I loved it there. But I had my time there and I have moved to Manchester.

"I am happy here and I want to help City be successful. That is all."
