Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has injured himself before making his debut - in the shower!

The People says the £26million Argentine striker slipped and crocked his ankle while washing himself in his Durban hotel suite earlier this week - ruling him out for the whole of City's pre-season tour of South Africa.

A City source confirmed last night: "It's true, Carlos slipped in his shower but we don't anticipate him being out for much more than a week and he'll be ready for the start of the season."
